past可以作形容词、名词、代词和副词。

1. past作形容词主要有以下四种意思。

（1）gone by in time过去的，昔日的

例如：The time for discussion is past.

讨论的时间已过。

（2）gone by recently, just ended刚过去的，刚结束的

例如：The past month is really busy at work.

上个月工作实在是忙。

I haven't seen much of her in the past few weeks.

（3）belonging to an earlier time
